Vaccination ages 5-11 married Feb. 4-DOH

The Department of Health is preparing for the immunization of children aged 5-11 from February 4 to February 11, 2022.

There are already 168,355 registered 5-11 year olds. The said age group will be vaccinated in their respective local government units (LGUs) simultaneously, with or without comorbidities, said Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje in the Laging Handa public briefing.

For children with comorbidities, their guardians are required to show me.

Children 7 years of age and older will have to sign their consent form regarding their immunization.

If the child does not yet have an ID, the barangay captain in the area will be the witness that the child to be vaccinated with is their parent or guardian. The DOH will conduct a pilot rollout of COVID-19 vaccinations for children 5-11 years old in 37 areas in Metro Manila.

Three of them are under the DOH, including the National Children’s Hospital, Philippine Children’s Medical Center, and Philippine Heart Center.

Meanwhile, each NCR LGUs will have 2 sites for such activities.
