Kathryn spoke on ABS-CBN shutdown
Kathryn Bernardo has broken her silence on the issue of stopping the ABS-CBN operation.
In a video message Kath admits that she was scared at first for not doing well before trying to speak on a sensitive issue.
"Good evening. I know many of you know that I have chosen to keep quiet. Why? Because like the rest of you I was scared. Because the last time I used my platform in politics it didn't turn out well, my experience became traumatic. It's just like the other artists who spoke. The number of attacks, the number said not only to me but also to my family so I told myself that was the last time I would speak on such matters because I did not want to repeat it. ”
The actress also believes that the absence of ABS-CBN in the air is preventing people from having a choice in what they want to watch.
Some celebrities will remember that the next one was pouring out emotions and frustrations on social media like Coco Martin, Angel Locsin and Kim Chiu.
Some celebrities were pleased to hear that the House of Representatives approved a proposal that would give ABS-CBN a provisional authority by the end of October, 2020.
In the post of actress Angel Locsin, she thanked House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano for giving her a fair chance on ABS-CBN.
The actress prays that the outcome will be in favor of Filipinos.
Comedian Vice Ganda said it was important for them to pass Congress on the proposal for provisional authority.
However, Vice appealed to the public not to stop praying because it was just the beginning of the process.
Veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez and TV show host Karla Estrada also expressed their gratitude to God and Congress.
